Michael’s Custom Homes has been building quality, custom-designed homes for over 30 years. Mary Hovell, President/Owner adds her personal touch through her design talents and finishing skills.

Working hard to earn and keep your business and providing our clients with quality homes designed to fit the needs and desires of each; with livability, comfort, and style at the forefront.
Mary is the seventh of nine children and grew up with very humble beginnings. Through her parents teaching of work ethic, dedication, and strong personal faith, she has been able to overcome life’s challenges. She has learned that we all have the ability to persevere through adversity and thrive in our endeavors. Mary reflects, “Whatever you choose to do, if you remain strong in your faith and are dedicated to a life of giving your life is truly unlimited.”
Mary keeps up with current building trends and practices by attending international builder shows and by being actively involved in local building committees. She has served on the board of directors for the Dayton Homebuilder’s Association. She has an eye for detail and cutting edge designs; setting the bar and leading the way for other builders to follow.
Michael’s Custom Homes has been locally and nationally featured in over 20 Homearama’s, sponsored by the Dayton HBA. In 1998, we built the Charity Showcase Home for the Homearama Builders Showcase of Homes. A beautiful two story home with over 4,000 sq. ft., called the “Hannah Rochelle” featuring: a two story great room and entry, double staircase, and finished lower level with state of the art media center. All proceeds from the sale of this home went to benefit children’s charities; such as Ronald McDonald House.
